This is our easy vegan pie crust. It doesn’t take up much time to make and it is ideal for single or double-crusted pies.This is the crust we used with our Swiss chard pie.
Easy Vegan Pie Crust
serves: 1 single-crust pie
prep.: 10 min10′
rest: 30 min30′
- 2 1/2 cups of plain flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/4 cup of olive oil
- 1/2 cup of warm water
Step 1 In a bowl mix the flour with the salt and add the oil, mix until you get a sandy texture.
Step 2 Add the warm water and mix until you can form a ball with the dough. It may need more flour or water.
Step 3 Cover with a kitchen towel and let it rest for 30 minutes.
Step 4 On a lightly floured surface roll the dough and then place in the tart pan.
- For a double-crusted pie double the recipe.
